Philosophy
Understanding that our dogs have been bred by humans for a specific purpose; that they are social creatures with a different language than us; and, that they are individuals with their own thoughts, personalities, motivations and needs, helps us truly bond with them. With time, patience, consistency, know-how and positive interactions, you can have the gift of a well-mannered, long-lasting member of the family.

Our relationships with our dogs and the world around us are dynamic and ever changing. Just like our dogs, we are evolving and learning with each new experience. Brighten Up Pup takes a “better to be proactive than reactive” approach. We help you learn how to effectively communicate and interact with your beloved canine companion and give you the tools that will last a lifetime. The knowledge and skills you acquire will help you understand your pup’s perspective and allow you to be flexible enough in your training to handle the curve balls that life throws at us.
